MK Technology develops Omni-Directional Platform

MK Technology has developed an innovative self-propelled platform to transport heavy loads without vibration or maneuvering.

Based on so-called Mecanum-Wheels, special wheels consisting of eight diagonally arranged rollers, the system can move in all directions without additional steering. It moves forwards and backwards, enables 360° rotations around its vertical axis and, as a special feature, can also move crossways - without any steering. These movements are made possible by synchronous or counter-rotating control of the four drive motors. This allows the device to be precisely controlled and loads of several tons to be moved without any maneuvering effort, even in the tightest of spaces.

With an overall height of 32 cm, the system is very flat and is therefore also suitable as a landing platform for helicopters. There is no need for time-consuming maneuvering in the hangar. Our new development can be used wherever heavy loads need to be moved precisely in the tightest of spaces.
